About Dr. Ho

Dr. Ho is a 1993 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. She also graduated with high honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from Michigan State University prior to being accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine. After obtaining her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine she spent the next two years working at a cat and dog veterinary hospital in St. Joe, Michigan. During these two years, Dr. Ho practiced general veterinary medicine during regular office hours and was also responsible for after-hours emergency calls for the surrounding St. Joe township area. In 1995 Dr. Ho accepted a position as an associate veterinarian at a feline-only veterinary hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The following year, she moved to North Carolina where she went to work at the Cat Clinic of Greensboro. She worked at this practice until 2000 when she accepted a job offer from a feline-only practice in Carlsbad, California. This job opportunity offered the chance for a possible buy-in as a partner of the hospital. Unfortunately, that did not pan out and she moved back to Greensboro in 2002 and started her own feline-only veterinary hospital in 2003. Since opening Cat Care Hospital, Dr. Ho has been involved with the SPCA of the Triad, FCAP, ARFP and Red Dog Farm rescue both as a veterinary provider and adviser for feline health issues. Dr. Ho currently lives with six cats which remind her daily that cats have staff, not owners. Her other interests when not busy running the practice include gardening, hiking, and reading.

What people say about us

Dr. Ho is absolutely the best! She has taken excellent care of my cats for many years now, especially my precious orange tabby that had many health problems, and he lived to be 18 years old. She is the only vet I know who will go the extra mile--and more--and help me with any cat-related problem, and I have presented her with many, many problems over the years. She is always there to help. I cannot emphasize enough what a help and a blessing she has been to me as I take care of my treasured cat companions and friends.

Cat Care Hospital is the first veterinary I've been to that has a sole focus on felines. My previous vets have all been good, but Dr. Cecilia Ho has proven to outshine all others with a very intelligent & honest care of my cats over several years. And it's refreshing to work with a Doctor that focuses her cat hospital to only running tests or give medicine that is essential for the cat's well-being versus just ringing up a larger bill for the client that was never even needed.
My cat Tom had been sick for several months and continuously going back & forth to a highly regarded veterinary, but no treatment seemed to ever make much of a difference and he only became worse. This is what brought me to Dr. Ho and she was able to tell me after our first visit what was happening to Tom and how she'll alleviate his symptoms. It was AMAZING how within one weekshe got Tom back to 100% when after months the other vet was still running circles doing continual testing with the same diagnosis and no help to my cat. I absolutely recommend anyone looking for veterinarian or overall better medical care for their cat to work with Cat Care Hospital and Dr. Ho!
